Right im going away for a week and dont really want to use a week feeder block but think im going to have to as how on earth do you fit an automatic feeder to a juewl tank with out cutting the lid apart?????

Fish that are strong and healthy can survive a week without food. Feed them well until the day before you go then give them half the amount they would normally get and do a big water change and they will be fine.
I wouldnt go for the food block as its mainly ash and the fish wont eat it. It will pollute the tank and make the fish ill.
Isnt there a neighbour who you could trust to feed them? If they know nothing about fish then leave a small amount of food wrapped in foil and ask that one be given per day and that way they could maybe put the lights on and off for you to.

nope the neighbours cant do it i dont think my mbuna would do to well not eating for a week

I will be fitting an automatic feeder for the first time soon on my Juwel Rio 300 so I haven't worked it out yet. On my Juwel Rekord 96 I put the base (sticky) part of the feeder on the solid part of the lid between the two flaps. Then when the feeder was fitted I left one of the flaps open a bit for the pellets to go in the tank. I tested it for 2 days before I went away. I blocked up the gap by sellotaping some mesh across and removed it when I got home. HTH. It worked very well. :)
