Well i am currently trying to raise peacock goby fry and hadn't been paying attention to my other tanks. But I was watching the large tank last night and noticed the famale keyhole looking superb and scaring all the other fish i looked closer and realised she had been laying eggs and the male was fertilising!!
But they were fighting a losing battle against the loaches and catfish that are in the tank. What were we to do?
Me and boyfriend decided the best course of action was to move themand the wood into a quieter tank, figuring the keyholes would be easier to move than trying to catch loaches and catfish. so we emptyed our 20gallon of the larger fish such as kribs, corys and barbs leaving the peacock gobies, badis and shrimp in there as they had nowhere else to go! and moved the keyholes in with the eggs and luckily it didn't upset them too much as after 5 minutes they were back to protecting them and laying even more.
The question is what do i do now? How long will it take for the fry to hatch Can i keep the parents with them? What do i feed them?
