Found this survey on bbc, which is supposed to help indicate if you are a compulsive gambler.

I knew I wasn't, but went through the survey out of pure boredom. However, half way through I thought if I substituted fish keeping for gambling, I would score rather high, on those questions that would be relevant...

Are you a compulsive fishkeeper? Do you spend hours just watching your fish? Do you spend money on your fish you should spend on yourself and family? Has work ever come second to your fish?

Definitely Many a time I have bought something for the fish or new fish and re-arranged the grocery budget accordingly lol, although I am not sure I would let us starve over it!!

I am constantly spending more and more money on our fish!

I go to LFS's without needing anything, and end up going home with a full back seat!! even when we can't afford the car insurance

I've been warned by my girlfriend, if I need to go buy something for the fish, she has 2 approve and come with

I'm always staring at the fish too... why have them if you're not going 2 look at them?

Fish are such peaceful looking creatures, apparently they help calm humans down, which isn't surprising really.
