Are they mating?

Ok my male guppy is like chasing my females and and goin under there tails and i dunno its kinda hard to explain but i just wanna know if hes tryin to mate or something?

yeah when livebearers mate the male goes under female near the tail and his stick(cant spell big word for it) twists right round and he shoves it into some hole there...its normally quite quick but i have seen alot of times..... so yeha there mating if they do this
