these are the stocking i will soon have ..

4ft:
3 oscars,
1 JD,
2 firemouths,
4 plecos.

These Fish will soon be in a 6ft.

2ft:

1 bolivan ram,
1 firemouth,
2 kribs,
2 dwarf gouramis,
2 honey gouramis,
1 bulldog pleco,
2 ottos,
3 flying foxes.

These Fish will soon be in a 4ft.

Other 2ft:

5 angels,
2 keyholes,
1 bristlenose pleco,
3 corys.

Should i put the two 2ft fish together in the 4ft .... and would they be ok with each other?

20g tank:

2 convicts.

these will soon be in a 2ft.

you need to give tank sizes in gallons or litres or we can't tell.

a 4'x1'x1' tank is very different to a 4'x2x2'

4ft = 90g

2ft = 55g

and this new 1 i think it said like 220 g or 190g

are the stocking i will soon have ..
4ft:
3 oscars, need 175g also it's a very bad number to keep oscars in as i told you in another thread
1 JD, needs another 20g or so
2 firemouths, need another 30g
4 plecos, what sort of plecs are they? if common or gibbies they could need another 50g each

These Fish will soon be in a 6ft

you have a lot of big agressive fish here, your gonna need something like 300g to keep all of them, i really would not advise keeping 3 oscar's though, you will end up with 1 left or at best a pair. :/

even the 6 foot tank is not big enough.

2ft:

1 bolivan ram,
1 firemouth,
2 kribs,
2 dwarf gouramis,
2 honey gouramis,

3 flying foxes

these are OK as they are if the 2ft is 55g...... that must be a v deep and tall tank though, Ian has a 55g tank and that's 4'x2'x2'.... double check your measurements. These fish need about a 40g tank. what ph are you keepign the tank at, kribs are african cichlids and will prefer it higher than all the other fish.

Other 2ft:

5 angels, need a tank at least 18" tall, you need 60g or so just for the angels
2 keyholes,
1 bristlenose pleco,
3 corys - should be kept in groups of 6+

IF the 2ft is 55g then your a little overstocked, if it's closer to 30g as i suspect your massivley overstocked.

Should i put the two 2ft fish together in the 4ft .... and would they be ok with each other?

compatibility wise they should be OK, you'd need about 125g to keep all these fish together happily.

20g tank:

2 convicts
these will soon be in a 2ft

IF the 2ft tank is 55g then that's fine.

sorry to be dubious but i'm really not sure you've got your calculations right for the gallons of the 4 and 2 foot tanks. i think it's worth double cehcking, if you can post the tank dimensions we can check as well.

:)

Yh sure .. ill post them when i get them as well im going to ring the LFS to find out what g is the 6ft tank will that help as well?

yup get the length width and height of each tank and we can work it out exactly and maybe suggest a sensible stocking list for each tank. :)

2ft:
30" x23" x 18"

4ft:
55" x 2ft x 19"

gosh those are some unusual tank dimensions!

i make it
2ft
50g

and

4ft
217g

well bearing that in mind your 4 foot tank is big enough for the fish that are in it, however i still wouldn't advise having 3 oscars but i've made the point elsewhere so won't go on.

the 2 foot community tank is fine

the 2 foot angel tank is a little small, maybe put these in the 4 foot if your going to move the current inhabitants to a 6 foot tank.

then put the convicts in the spare 2 foot tank and you've room for some friends for them.

:)

when i get a pair of angels the rest will be going back to the lfs .
and what can i put with the convicts in a 2ft?

ok that tank should be fine for 2 angels and the other companions then.

best to post in the new world cichlid section, i don't know that much about convicts to be able to comment
