Aquatic Sand?

setting up a puffer tank, bought some aquatic sand rinsed it 3 times before I added it to the tank and the water is still very cloudy. What can I do? Is it going to settle? Thanks...

OK a few options...

play the waiting game, can take up to a week.

Buy a cheap (ten quid) powerfilter to remove the cloudiness.

Do a 50% water change daily/gently replacing the water.

Use one of the liquid compounds available for aquariums that aggregates debri. Though I do not recommend this, as it can cause other problems.

put a pump in and changed half the water going to leave it until tomorrow now...
