Hi,

my pleccy is growing too big for my tank its huge and has developed a taste for all the other fish that were in there with him, does anyone know if a pet store would have him off me, he is a beautiful fish but other than 2 little catfish that are in tank, everything i put in he chases and ends up eating, im feeding him loads also so know hes not starving,
thanks im in staffordshire uk, if anyone could reccommend somewhere.

What type of plec is he.
A bigger tank for him or rehome him.

Best bet would be find somebody to take him, post this in the for sale section, or the adoption section (if TFF has one) and hopfully somebody'll take him. :good: is he a common pleco? also how big exactly is too big?

Hi, think most fish stores will take them back - maidenhead aquatics certainly do

Put an add in the Buy, sell, swap section. OR

Go to or ring your local fish shops and see if any near by will take it off your hands. Be proactive an you will find a home for it.

Common plecos don't kill fish, they will occasionally scavenge dead carcasses of fish for protein but thats about it. Whats more likely is that by putting such a large pleco in your tank, it instantly and massively increased the bioload of your tank too much, causing it to mini cycle and kill off some of your fish.
