if you have more filters on a tank

lets say about 2

can i get a few more fish?

i am thinkin bout adding my other filter onto my 29 gallon and gettin
maybe some cherry barbs

would cherry barbs go good with my community??
i wanna get like 2-3 gold barbs or 2-3 cherry barbs...

What size tank and what fish are in it? How long has it been set up and what/how many extra fish are you cosndiering?

The answer to your question realy depends - adding more filters simply helps improve biological fitlration and, perhaps, oxygen levels - it does nothing for swimming space (may even reduce it if it's internal!) or other species-specific requirements (eg: schooling, territoriality etc all need to be considered).

ok my the fish in the tank is in my sig...i have a elite hush 35 and aquaclear 30

wat would be better... another filter... or a bubbler?

i really want to a add a small pleco that gets around 6 inches...

or at the lfs they had a pleco/cory or catfish

it looked like a pleco but the guy said it stays around an inch and a half long

so maybe that for algae and 2 gold barbs or 2 cherry barbs
or maybe 2 oddessas

or maybe a colony of shrimp but im scared my fish gunna eat them up

An extra filter is the better option.
The barbs you listed, except the cherries, need to be in groups of 6 or more - so they are not an option. A trio of cherries (1 male, 2 females) could be added though.

Forget the plec - use an algae scraper. As for the plec/cory/catfish - find out what it is before you start thinking about buying it.

ya im gunna get a trio of cherries.... how do i determine male from female?

ya i dont need a pleco

my rtbs cleans the glass really nice

and doesnt eat from the top

only wats on the bottom
so thats a plus..

im addicted to buying fish..

Try becoming addicted to buying tanks or plants/ornaments - buying too many fish is obviously a bad thing :p

Male cherries are bright pinkish red whereas females are sort of a pale pink-yellow. You should be able to see an obvious difference as long as they are in relatively good condition. However, it concerns me that you didn't know this already - please do research the fish you're considering before you buy them.

Have fun getting those cherries - they are very nice little fish :)

i knew u could keep the cherries in pairs...not about goldies or odessas now answer my filter maintenance question in the lobby..
