In my corner tank I have a couple of pairs of angels who take it in turns to lay eggs every week or so, each pair over a different side of the tank.....all very well organised.
Every week or so, the bristlenoses wait until dark and have the lot away..........without exception.
I thought I would try to give the angels a hand when I saw them laying again yesterday evening.
I had previously made up a moonlight, which always seemed a bit too dark (5 blue LEDs) to give much of an effect. Last night I put it with at least one of the LEDs facing down towards the eggs on the side of the tank....almost like they were in a shaft of moonlight (
).
........this morning, the eggs are still there....and the Angels are doing their Cichlid parenting bit.
Who knows......maybe these will last a little longer.
One little question......I am presuming 5 small LEDs won't keep the fish up all night.........the tank is fairly well planted and has a damn huge lump of wood across the middle with shade beneath.
Tried to take a pic of the moonlight, but couldn't get the camera to see it.......will try again tonight with other settings.
.....thanks for listening......just rambling.
