Angelfish Tank Mates

hi all a friend has given me his pair of Angels they are a proven pair. just wondering what schooling fish i can have with them.
the fish in the tank at mo are in my signature

I keep guppies both wild and fancy with mine... The angels are good at crowd control..

Any of the larger, deep bodied tetras (so not neons or embers; they'll get eaten!), as long as you avoid the nippy ones; black widows and serpaes ae the worst.
 
Cardinals, Buenos Aries or black or red phantoms, rummy noses would all be fine.

I keep mine with Cherry Barbs. 2 males and 4 females.

Try a bigger Tetra then. My Buenos Aires Tetras are a good two inches in size and look lovely in a shoal.

Some people have had some luck with Angels who "grow up" with Cardinals/smaller fish? They learn not to recognize them as food. Still wouldn't trust them ha ha..
