my angel fish has just laid eggs on the side of my filter box in a jewel 350 tank. The male and female won't leave the eggs and chase every other fish away.
The eggs are starting to move now - hopefully get some young angels.

Just wanted to kbnow if this is quite rare for angels to breed in tank environment?

This is my first post so hello everyone !!

Hi silkworm welcome to the forums :)
My girlfriend has had her angels for nearly a year and they certainly havent laid any eggs...then again anytime you are expecting fry is a joy:)

Angelfish aren't livebearers though.
Livebearers are platties, guppies, mollies, etc. When they have babies they give birth to the baby fry and they plop out of the momma and start swimming around :)

Hey and welcome to the forum! You should introduce yourself in the Newbie section provided by this forum. Though not to sound rude but a angel fish is a type of cichlid, so I would try posting it in the cichlid section. Just go to them and see which one has postings about angels. Also since it lays eggs, its not a liverbearer (gives birth to live young) Hope everything turns out ok!
