I have had problems with keeping the ammonia levels down in my 65L tank nitrite is and has been zero ammonia around 05.
so this morning after doing a 10L water change I decided to do a check on the water direct from the tap.
I use tablet test kits as I feel that they are more accurate.
The results were quite a shock there is very little difference between the tank sample and the tap sample.

Can i just say something ? your shocked when you put tap water into your tank water it changes in a few hour's ?
Ill explain when you cycle your tank which you post probably ent done . The filter ( external or internal ) it will gather bacteria good bacteria. Thats why you should run your stand for a few days maybe weeks be for putting fish in so the filter can gather the bacteria so when tap water is pushed though it it will take all the harmfull stuff out.
When you put your tap water into the tank ( which you shouldn't do ) it goes though the filter and the bacteria takes all the harmful stuff out well it should do. it will take most of the harmful stuff out of the water but you need plants to take the rest of the bad stuff out.
