Ammonia For Cyclying

Ok guys,

i have read here and otehr plcaes that if the ammonis foams when you sahke it, then tis no good for fishless cycling.

how does one define teh difference between faom and airbubbles.

mine gets lots of bubbles which burst and dissapper almost right away, is the foam that is emantioned a foam that stasy and sits on teh top? i am concerend to use thios and then have all my fish dye on me, but eqaully, if its fine i might as well use it.

i imgaine shalking most bottles of most liquids will result in some bubbles forming....so im not sure i will vere really be able to tell if its safe or not!

i have ready that if it has other crap in it it will be cloudy and that if its clear its good to go is this a good emasuer also?

the reason you don't want foam is because it would mean there's ammonia plus something else in the bottle. What you want is 100% pure ammonia, or ammonia and water, nothing else.

Look on the label to see if it contains any additives and if not, it's good to go

firsty thanks guys, there not a very clear list on it sadly, and i really couldnt say about teh bubbles, Trace1 has advised me of the sort she got...if i can grab that on friday i will if not Trace has kindly offer to let me have the half bottel they have left ((i might actaully go with this option as i knwo ti worked and was safe!))
