Amino Chips In Brackish Aquarium?

I have used amino chips in my freshwater aquarium to keep water clear. Can I use them in brackish water? I have just begun to add salt to tank to make it eventually brackish. Is there adverse effects of using the amino chips? I have removed them currently just in case. The water is currently at 0.003sg.
