Goodeids have to be up there as some of the prettiest fish.

Never been the biggest fan of Livebearers, to be honest, but I saw a video by Tropiquairia Zoo (owner is Sean? I think?) a while back on their breeding/conservation work on Mexican Goodeid's and fell in love. It's a shame how their population has dwindled in nature  Similar to my beloved Sawbwa. Seems to be a more common thing every year now.

Real beautiful gals!
Well, these are a great example of livebearers that have a gestation period of 6-8 weeks and sometimes even longer...

He's got a good hump on his back which does show a good male.

occasionally seen in local pet shops and well established in home aquariums worldwide,
anyone wanting to keep goodeids ameca splendens are a good one to start with
