Am I Overstocked

Quick Question

is my tank Overstocked, please see top part of my signature for stock. It is 165l or 47g tank and has a oversized filter which is for a 300l tank. tank size is 84x58x44cm

I think the rule of thumb is a litre per cm of fish. So you can have 165cm worth of fish. If you lined them up next to each other, not including tails.

I'm not reall familiar with all the fish you have in the tank and their needs, requirements and waste production. It loos as though you are over 2" per gallon as you have 44 fish in a 56 gallon(US) tank (assuming an average of over 2" each). With good filtration and water changes you will probably be ok. Not sure about compatibility.

The 65L looks overstocked though unless I'm missing something. You have 25 fish in a 17 gallon tank. I could see that the cichlids could be aggressive toward each other and the corys with so little room.
