I have an Oscar tank, and the ecosystem has been exceptional for its whole life. I found a rock at a local lake, it was dry and had been in the sun. I figured UV rays would have sterilized it over time. So I brought it home and dropped it in the tank.
Five days later, really small and stubby white worms are all over the walls of the aquarium (also really bad algae problems). I think eggs had dehydrated on the stone then hatched when I dropped it in a life sustaining water source.
Now, what the heck do I do? I don't know what these things are, if they're dangerous to my Oscar, or how to get rid of them.
Does anyone know what to do?
(I also know for a fact this isn't planaria, I've had it in a previous aquarium before).
