Darn algae.. I have been fighting a battle against brown algae... started to get it under control, saw a slow in its growth. But what did i find yesterday, spot algae! grrrr. I have totally stopped supplementing co2 and I have tons of plants, I just can't understand why i can't get rid of me algae.

algea is something you will be fighting for a very long time 
I did some looking on google for articles about algae. This one article said that water agitation can slow the growth of algae as the spores have a harder time settling onto surfaces.
So a question of mine is do air bubbles in a tank agitate the water? and are there any bad effects in a planted tank from using a bubbler?
