I'm going with a Natural Theme. River Gravel / couple pieces of wood / a couple nice rocks / & plants. Tank has been up & running for about two months (after being cycled) I think some algae would be pretty nice. However I can't get it to grow on anything-not even the tank walls. Does anyone know whats going on? I know theres like a million products on the market to remove algae, bu I want to grow it & I cant.

If you have plants then chances are they're using all the nutrients and none are left to promote algae growth. How many fish in the set up? Give the tank more light also - but there's no cerntainty that you'll get the type of algae that you want and not something you don't want. :)

I think it is pretty crazy to want algae, it is a bugger to get rid of and can take over the tank but, if you leave the lights on 12 -14 hours per day and let the tank get some direct sunlight it should do the trick. You could also get a plant that is covered in algae, LFS usually have one in the back of the tank that noone wants because of the algae.
