I have a two 2.5 gallon tanks each with one fish in them. They both have heaters and I change the water every couple days. But no matter how many times I change the water, I keep getting tons of algae on my plants, rocks, and other figures in my tank! Any suggestions?

If they are unfiltered plantless tanks then you could cut down on the amount of light the tanks get. You could also get some easy plants to eat up the nutrients the algae is using to grow. Plants like egeria densa or hornwort, even a bit of duckweed which a betta would like (though it grows fast and would need to be thinned often). Plants would also help cut down on the amount of ammonia if you are not using filters and the bettas would be happier. If you don’t have filters in the tanks they should help too.
