Hi
This is my first questions - I am a newbie
We had a 50 gal tank filled with general community tank fish such as neons guppies and the like. We also have an external filter. They have now moved bit by bit into another tank and we now have two albino oscars the tank
(this is bigger than the tank we bought them from so they are happy at moment although i understand from looking at other comments they will soon need a bigger tank).
All water quality is perfect and are happy
(and very nosy) fishies.
Problem is that when we had the community tank, we had Silca gravel which is very small. The oscars generally take their food off the top of the water which is fine, but when they do go down to the gravel they are taking in big mouth fulls and spitting it back out.
Will this harm them?
- do you think we should change to larger gravel?
and if so how is the best way of changing the gravel without causing too much stress for fishies?
I look forward to any comments you may have on this
