Albimarginata Are At It Again!

I thought the female was looking plump again, and today I caught them in the act
Didn't get to see them wrap, sadly, but I did get to see some courtship behaviour. The female displayed by opening and closing her mouth repeatedly and pressing her body up towards the underside of the male as an invitation to wrap... my female is such a harlot!

I couldn't take pics as my camera is stuck on flash mode and I didn't want to chance disturbing them, but rest assured the male has a nice mouthful of eggs... hopefully he won't eat them this time!

There's a slight complication though... I put a pair of imbellis babies (not really babies anymore) from when my wild pair spawned in with the albis because the female in the "official" imbellis tank is huge... I mean a HUGE, big woman... and I was afraid she might be able to eat/injure them. They get along with the albis fine, but I'm afraid they might bother the male while he's carrying. I imagine trying to net the fast little suckers would be more likely to make the male swallow than just leaving them though, so we'll see how it goes. The albis didn't seem to mind that the voyeur male imbellis was watching them do their thing -- maybe they're exhibitionists?

Like I said in PM, if I get a decent number then yes they will be for sale.
It's the third day and he's still holding!! This is when he ate them last time, so fingers crossed he can go all the way! I thought he had eaten them at first when I turned on their light this morning, but then he swirled them around in his mouth
He has also shown no interest in food like he did last time. Last time he'd swim up to the food like "Oooo, yummy!!... Oh wait, crap, that's right. Eggs. " This time he notices it, but he acts like he knows it's off limits

It's crazy and i feel crazy everytime i read it
I don't even like margarita's!

Congrats Synirr! Hope they have the kinks worked out this round and give you a successful spawn. Can't wait to see some pics of the albi babies if papa does his job right! Fingers crossed for you.

W00t!! Still holding! I'm pretty sure the eggs have hatched as his throat is more swollen than it was, so he should be releasing sometime between now and Christmas
So long as I can get to them before anybody eats them, we'll have babies just in time for the holidays
