Hi i was thinking on buying a air pump for 1 REASON ONLY
to buy a air ston to put in corner of tank i think it looks cool with tiny bubbles

and means i can put my fluval valve in the water instead of at the top to create bubbles ITS ANOYING ME AT NIGHT

so wot i really would like to know i have a 50 gallon tank DO I HAVE 2 buy a pump for that size tank 50 gallons (cus i dont need 1 atall)

or cani buy 1 for a 20 gallon tank as i only want a few bubbles not to many there un needed i notice my danios like to play in the bubbles tho

amd of course the price if i dont need 1 im not stupid enough to be pulled in for a pump thats gonna cost 30-40 pound pointless

You don't need to have the return from the power filter above the water, as long as it is moving the water surface around, it is doing the same job from below.

Since the air pump is for decorative effect only, (following the advice above), buy whatever size you like.

yea thanks i new that i dont have to have it at top BUT
as i didnt have a pump i followed the manual instuctions and placed it at the top of the tank to create a nice bubble stream at the end of the tank

also as its fluval 203 extrenal by having it atthe top it cycles better
suck water from the bottom at 1 end and sprays it back at the other end at the top

thanks for your info ill buy a small pump then prob for 20 gallon

from what i've learned no...........if u only want a small stream of bubbles in the corner go for a smaller one!!!!! i bought one that way to big and it's really loud!!!!!!! i've discovered the only reason they say 4 a 50 gallon tank is so that it's powerfull enough to run an UGF! an air pump for a 20 gallon tank would probably b more than enough! :D

thanks hehe also i can get it on ebay for 2 pound so wow sorted
