well I as going to get angles but then I was on this site and i saw how beautiful other dwarf cichlids are!

http://www.azgardens.com/cichlids.php

now my questions are:
in a 72 gallon with 10 cories and maybe 20 (or, you tell me) 30 rummy nose tetras how many of eahc could I get?
What groupings of females would I need for each?

could I still get an angel/angle pair?

If just one angle would it be lonely with out a partner?

I really like the following:

Apistogramma agassizi

Blue Ram

Bolivian Ram

But what stocking level...

10 cories..
20 rummynose tetras
2 blue ram pairs
2 bolivan ram pairs
1 angle pair

does that work?
Rummynosde tetra's would definatly be the last things to be added.. so sencitive. :/

that should work in a very large tank but i know angels eat neons and i think they would eat rummynoses as well :( + you would need a very large tank as for rams it is 1 per 10 gallon (i think) + angels need a lot of space. what size tank do you have?

Yeah that stocking would work, angels don't eat rummy nose unless the angel is large and the rummy nose small. Also he does have a big tank, 72g or something like that.

you need to be careful with the numbers of angels, quite often just having 2 is a recepie for disaster, they may well beat each other up, I would go for 4 or 6 really. Also I'm sure with a 72g it will be but just to make sure you know, angels need a tank at least 18" tall.

i think with the dwarf cichlids you need to have more females than males something like 3:1 so if you go for them then get a reasonable size group not just a pair.

Keeping just 2 angels is a safe thing, some angels don't like other angels but that would mean keeping them seperate. If you have a pair though and they start breeding anything in the tank that even looks like an angelfish would be attacked. Yes they do need a tank 18" tall.

Dwarf cichlids, rams and bolivan are pairs not colony fish.

if you say so, I don't proclaim to be an authority but that's just my opinion on angels.

I've got cockatoo's and did loads of research on them and everything pointed me to keeping at least 2/3 females with each male so they don't get too stressed, obviously that ratio would lead to you keeping more than just a pair.

the rams yes keep in a pair.

I could well be wrong, just my thoughts, sure some other people will chip in with what they think and you can make an informed descision.

:)

MM.. two conflicting ideas.. which is right? So the blue and blovien rams are good in pairs.. and as for the angles I was planning to somehow buy a pair from somewhere.. where can I buy sexed fish?

and my tank is 18" high.. and it is indeed 72g..
