Aggresive Dwarf Guarami

I recently got a larger tank and moved most of the fish out of my 35 gallon, leaving only a pair of dwarf guarami and a black shark. The male guarami has always been aggresive, when i had 2 firemouths in there he chased them all the tim as well as chasing the female dg. Since the tank has emptied out though he chases and nips her relentlessly, what should i do? I know they are known for this type of behaviour but i'm worried he'll kill her.

Anyone? I've moved him into isolation for now but don't want to leave him there forever. I've bought another female dwarf guarami and 2 kissing guaramis, they're all getting along fine. Is he just a nasty fish, should i trade him in? Or are all male dg's like that?

i'd trade the male dwarf gourami in. at the same time, i'd also take back the 2 kissing gouramis as they grow to a foot each.
