Unfortunately with a shop saying the water is ok, doesnt necessarily mean it is.

You need to find out the water stats, get the shop to write these down for you if you dont have your own liquid based test kit.

You need to know the levels of :Ammonia, NitrIte, NitrAte and PH.

Shrimp can be effected by any trace of ammonia or nitrite and also a sudden change in PH. They are also copper intolerant. Sometimes there can be traces on copper on plants bought from the shop or traces in the tap water from copper pipes. How did you acclimatise them?

Also what other fish are in the tank?

I know its frustrating, having recently lost lots of shrimp myself, probably from traces of copper.
