just a bit of advice.....my son has been really interested in havimg a tank of his own as he loves my fish and helps out with tests and the cleaning of my tanks so i said i woud set one up for him but he wants in his tank some frogs a couple of crabs can they go together? And what fish will he be able to have with them ......its a 2ft tank .....he is 8

thanks,

That's a pretty good sized tank. As far as crabs go, you need to get the smaller variety so that they don't bother the fish. Here's a link to a good site about crustaceans. I don't have a lot of information about frogs, but I can show you a site that has some of the more popular and readily available frogs. Frogs and water dogs are fun. I'd checked out the water dogs, just in case. :)

For fish, you need to get some relatively large ones, but they can't be cichlids or anything that will eat the frogs or a fish that eats crustaceans. You can never be too careful. Maybe some Mollies, Platies or something around that size? I'm not a big expert on fish, frog, crab compatibility. :D

Good luck,
Valerie

P.S.
Since he's 8, you might want to make sure that he takes care of all their needs.
