Advice Please

Well I have a problem or two. I have a 55gallon with 2 breeding angels + their fry, a 10 inch comon pleco, 2 german blue rams (male and female), a male gold gourami, and 3 "ocelot" danios (danio kaythit). I also have a 20gal with another male gold gourami, a female ram, a synodontis nigriventris, and a 4 inch mystus leucophasis.

First off, the male gold gourami that is in my 55 gal is very skittish. He comes out from under the tree stump when I'm not around or thinks I am not looking. If he sees me and I make a movement, he runs. Be it into the side of the tank, the filter, or into the stump. I want to know why he is so scared. I had him in my 20gal when my fish were small (my other gourami, angels, and pleco) then I moved them to the 55gal and he became really skittish. He was never afraid in the smaller tank. He gets scraped up and I'm afraid he will hurt himself badly one day. What should I do or what is wrong?

Secondly, I found out I have a mystus leucophasis and that they love to eat other fish. The male gourami in my 20gal is getting eaten over night (well his fins have small tears in them). My gourami sits at the bottom of the tank too, till I come over to feed him then he swims around to the top. I was wondering what should I do? I cannot put the gourami in the 55 gal because he will fight with the gourami already in there. I cannot move the mystus in the 55 either because he tried to eat my angels... So any advice? I was thinking of giving away my gourami but I don't know where to. I don't know anyone who has fish or wants him. Think a LFS will take it? They will wonder why his fins are torn... And I don't want someone to buy him who will treat him badly

Bit tough, but one will have to go. Take them to the LFS, its a risk that someone 'nice' will get him, but chances are hes not going to make it in your current setup.

Why will the 2 gouramis fight ? I had 4 in my 200L tank and they didnt fight. Im no expert on them though.

They are both male so they aren't friends anymore. One chases the other into a corner and tries to rip his fins. They flare at each other too. If my angelfish fry live, I can ask if they will take the angels and the gourami. However, I still am perplexed about my other gourami being so spooked.

My gourami in my 55gal is hiding from me. I tried to get a picture of my gourami in my 20gal but he moved too much.

How long has he been in that tank ?

Maybe 4 months. Both male gourami were in the 55 at one point and were both afraid like he still is. Then they got older and started to fight. So I put one back in my 20 and he's not afraid.

Taken a little while ago. You can kind of see where on his head he beats himself up :\

As long as the water is good - he should come to really. I cant understand whats the matter with him. Sorry I cant be of more help, maybe he just isnt settling in.

I would add some melafix for those sores on him though, it should help them heal quicker.

I thought about getting him a female friend or two but I don't know how aggressive he would get with females. I asked before but it was suggested he would be better on his own. He is healed up pretty well now. He still flies around to hide from me but hasn't ran into anything that bad lately.
