Im going to get a betta in my 2.5 gallon. but if i got a male could i get 2 adf or 1 since there more aggressive then female bettas. what im asking how many adf with male betta or female betta?

you could possibly get away with either male or female betta it doesn't matter males tend to be more aggressive but aggressive females aren't unheard of, with 1 adf, remember the adf will need bloodworms and they can take sometimes to find them so the betta will need to be occupied with something else for the adf to get a chance to eat.

:good:

ill probaly go with a female. my lfs has younger female bettas. so you think 2 adfs could go with a female betta?

there is not much difference in how many you can keep with either a male or female betta.

1 betta , 1 adf that's about it i would say for a 2.5g tank at a push you could possibly do 2 but is the tank filtered and heated? your going to be doing 100% changes every few days if it's not filtered to keep good conditions.

Personally, i wouldnt keep any with a male or female in that size tank...
id say 3G Min, IMO.
but then again, i think its cruel to keep bettas in a 1G "tank", but people still do it, but its not the best of situations...

Sounds good to me! Watch the nitrate levels.

I think its cruel having 2 goldfish in a 5g bowl.

nitrates levels are safe up until 100ppm this is not reccomended but they aren't to worry about unless you have sensitive fish.

is the tank cycled?

ADF's dont HAVE to eat bloodworms... mine like brine shrimp and HBH sinking frog/ tadpole pellets, and blood worms.... i just stick the lid of an old fish food container to the bottom and put the food in that so they have a designated feeding spot and will go there at dinner time.

well bloodworm is a good diet for them then. mine would only take bloodworms and i feed a big variety of foods so it had lot's to choose from.
