I've had one in my Hillstream tank for more than 2 months, and it seems to be thriving... I've added a few net fulls from the breeder tank, but they don't seem to make the change as well, probably switching over from hard well water, to the softer RO, as both tanks are within a degree or two of the same temperature, and I've never witnessed a fish trying to eat the sole survivor...

I'd like to do the same with another color, in the South American Tetra tank, but that tank still has an adult angel, that I know eats them as fast as they get added... once my big tank is up and running, I'll move the angel to that tank, and hope to add a school of Cardinals ( which the angel also eats ) and at that point, I'll begin adding orange shrimp again...

I 've had Amano shrimp in my African Tetra tank for more than 2 years, of coarse they can't breed in that tank, so once they die of old age, I'll be adding another color of Neo...

my goal is to get them breeding in these tanks, as well as their breeding tanks... and if the baby shrimp most get predated, it's excellent food for the fish... all of these tanks have lots of hiding places, so babies aren't guaranteed to get eaten.... and I see the one cherry in the Hillstream tank, pretty much daily, and I really enjoy seeing it there, with a bright pop of color...

ah... there are more than one cherry in this tank, after a water change, there is evidence of at least two
