I wouldn't do it.Bettas are known for being aggresive towards their own kind,well they'll attack male guppys too,but bettas won't stand a chance against a territorial ram.

A male betta? No way. I tried once (Stupidly) and the poor thing got shreded. I was keeping an eye on it, left to do something, came back an hour later and... shreded. But alive... I do however have females in with them and for the time being they seem to be just fine, however the male is young.

and you know wut? i have kept a male betta in a 1 gallon tank with 100 females which spawned like crazy then i added more ram, like 200 of them and no shreded fins on my male betta........
