Ive had about 1 clam die, and recently 1 small baby snail die. The clam im not sure why, the snail seemed to be sluggish from the lfs, didnt last 3 days.
My question is, where do the bodies go? my clam opens up wide when it dies, but i wonder where does the muscle go? Im not sure which fish in my tank would be able to eat it, i have 3 balals who i doubgt would but who knows. My main suspicions are the tiger plec but im not sure.
Secondly my snail, i never knew he was dead until today i run down and glance at his hollowed out shell, once again, im baffled at what could eat it, and if nothing could then what happens?
Last but not least, i usually leave the clams shell, and am thinking about leaving the small snails, is this advisable?
