So we took the kids to the Zoo, as it is free, and we were over in the Big Cat area looking down into the lion's den. Couln't find the lion at first, but then I looked up into the tree.

Wow, great shot... African lioness? Amazed that you get to visit the zoo for free, is that normal or was it a special open day?

No, everyday is free, but for attractions such as the petting zoo and stuff, you have to pay. They make their money off of donations and stuff to pay for the animal upkeep. Its pretty cool and they have a lot o animals. Unlike ost zoos, they really keep up and treat the animals very nicely.

That's a really good pic. Hope the last branch on that tree was more than 5 ft. From the fence!

Nice shot! St. Paul has a free or not-for-profit zoo as well. They have a donation box right at the entrance/exit and suggest a dollar or two per person, but price is entirely up to you.

Ok good! Don't want one of those jumping like5-10 ft. Out of it's enclosure to mess with guests! Lol :) :good:

Beautiful! I have some amazing zoo shots as well...maybe I should put them up...but that would take too long lol
