This was the cotswold wildlife park in oxfordshire. not that big but it does have a few nice animals. and the madagascar section is small but nice.
and the lion, maybe has a tint of blue, but it's mainly black I think. If you look down the nose you can see lots of scratches so I think it'd been scrapping at some point.
may have to go back to get more pics, and try and spend more time with my faves to get that elusive "perfect" photo. I think I ma even take a tripod to setup to try and get the bats. didn't wat to use flash but it was pitch black, I would have needed an exposure of about 10-15 seconds to capture them properly, and I can't stay still that long.
That leopard was surprisingly small too. about a third the size of the lions. TINY for a "big cat". I don't know how old it was but it was an Amur Leopard. Which are a critically endangered species, with as few as 30 - 45 remaining in the wild. Partly because the Amur leopards have the most distinct coats. whereas other species are a little more faded, not as bright or colourful.
What else would you like pictures of? you name it, and I probably don't have it but I can find out where to take the pics. I always like to challenge myself with lots of stuff. And these pics were relatively easy compared with my more regular live bands... (low light levels, using flash destroys the lighting effects on the stage, which would be better in bigger venues with better lighting set-ups.
made me laugh though, there was another guy there with a camera a lot nicer than mine, with a much nicer lens too, and my wife kept catching him trying to see what gear I had...
EDIT:
If you want a full res version of that leopard I'll be uploading my fave pics to my flickr account when I've gone through them properly. I've resized them to 600px wide for this forum.
