Three things that are causing me to stress:

Firstly, turned on my tank lights this morning and was saying hello to my fishy friends when I noticed something odd about my angelfish. He has 2 very small almost bubble-like bumps at the corner of his mouth, 1 on each side. They are very small and look like small shiny silver bubble "lip piercings". Any idea what it could be and is it the beginning of something serious?

Secondly, as I was watching my fish have a little feed, I noticed a small, thin white worm in the water. Now I can't guarantee that is was a worm or just a floating bit of fluff because no sooner had I seen it, one of my tetras gobbled it up. This is the first time I've seen anything like it in the water though.
Could It be some kind of parasite? My Angelfish did appear to have some sort of tummy trouble with constipation a while back. Should I treat the whole tank for internal/external parasites?

Thirdly I have a bit of an annoying algae problem, mainly the brown stuff. But Within the last week or so there have been what look like white rings that grow outwards on my decorations and on the glass. Is this some kind of algae too or something more sinister?

All my Ammonia and Nitrite readings are at 0ppm and Nitrates are 10ppm
pH 7.6

I though I might post a pic of my angelfish so people can see the bump thingies. Please help him! He's my pride and joy :-(

Thank you so much for the reply!

That was a really helpful article you linked! I'm thinking it might have been from over feeding, I'm still new to how much they really need as they just beg at the front of the tank all the time. >.>

Looking at the angelfish this morning one bubble has completely gone and the other is almost impossible to see. Do you think I still need to treat him?

I don't actually have a Quar. tank. As bad as I know that is but I just done have the money. The pet stores near by don't sell the stuff I need cheaply :X The cheapest you could get one around here with all the heaters filters etc would be about $80 AUS. I hate being a poor uni student! (sorry about the tangent  )

Thanks again for the reply though!

If the bubbles have nearly gone and no other symtoms yes I would not treat the fish, sounds like it's healing its self.
Good luck.
