A 75 gallon Betta fish tank?

I've been out of the hobby for a couple of months, and I kept my 75 gallon tank.
Is this a crazy idea?
Been considering my options

I suppose it could work if you go off the rule of thumb of one betta per 75g

one betta by itself in 75 gallons of water? It would be the happiest betta in captivity!
