Im getting a 75 gallon tank
But confused on what to make it

Please reply

75G is the minimum tank size needed for an oscar so id go with a community tank otherwise your limited to one fish and maybe a plec if you get a really good filter.

communitys tanks are awesome anyway. i have a 80g community and its great to watch. everyones jus so busy doin there own thing and its full of variety.

So if i were to get a community tank what sort of fish
would go good with tetras angelfish small plecos and clown loaches

thank you

You could try a large fish community maybe two Polyterus Senegalus, as these are the smaller Polys', with some plecs, maybe a syno or summit?

or maybe some other type of larger odd ball?

Oddballs rule?

How about loads and loads of bumble bee gobies? I waste of a tank but hey :D just an idea.

Nawww

i dont know what Polyterus Senegalus are

Please tell me

CLs and smaller plec will go fine with tetras and angelfish, the only problem is the angels eating the tetra, I'm not a fan of angels, so Id leave them out :D but thats just me.

not a great thread but this is a Senegalus Linky

Just put polyterus senegalus into Google-images you'll get a loada image.

They are great fish, I've kept one for a few months now and a few weeks back I bought a female to go in with the male.

They are said to be agressive but mine are quite timid, just dont keep them with anything that will fit in their mouths, thats any thing under 3"

As for other community fish, have you looked at Corydoras, female bettas, danios, or were you looking for something a little different?

Yes i really like corydoras!! and danios

Is there any larger alternative for tetras so they wont be eaten?

Also a female betta would be nice, Do they get along with the other fish

Thank you so much

You can keep multiple female bettas, I would suggest keeping 1 or 4+ as they do create a pecking order, and dont normally fight, like the males. AlthoughI had a female who killed two other females and then died herself :'(

you might get away with maybe fully grown congo tetra, with a polyterus, but Im not sure its a risk worth taking.

you could try platydoras costatus, striped tlaking catfish,or such like.

But if you do get a poly's no cory's or danios, they would work out as expensive food sources.

synodontis catfish at a nice tank mate for them, and larger clownloaches, I keep both of these with my pair, along with an albino tiger barb, 1 female platy (who will have to be removed when the polys get bigger) and a L001 plec. Oh and two yoyo loaches, the tank they are in at the moment is fine for them, but it will need upgrading :D

if you go for a synodontis dont got for the small upsidedown cat as they will just get eaten, and prob cause you a few problems with the birchirs (polyterus' common name) as they are very spiny fish those USD cats

YA, i like birchirs but i wouldnt like them in my community tank
so hear it a sketch of wat my tank would look like

75 Gallon tank

30 tetras(all differents kinds)
6 cory cats
4 angels
3 clown loaches
10 danios
3 small plecs

is this ok???

Oh, this is going to be funn :D

I have never heard of them tho i might look into it!!
thank you

Kuhli loach are nice, I have two, but they dont grow very big, are pretty much shy fish that swim about in the shadows. They look a little like weather loaches, but with stripes and smaller :)

Yoyo's are great, same temperment more or less as CLs.

YA i researched them and they are very cooool

do you think i could get them and CLs

very cool fish

Ok, cool

So here is another sketch
