Well the second hand tank I bought turned out to be 100 gallons instead of 75 gallons, Right now we only have 2 weather loaches (#3 died) an inch long Pleco and a betta who rules the tank lol. It came with a Brand ne Fluval 204 filter and crushed coral substrate. we have added driftwood, sand, various shells, and some plants NOT many though. so our stocking plan will definatly work which is nice.
Hey does anyone here no anything about weather loaches? They are subposed to be bottom dwellers but one of mine love to hang out on the suction cup that keeps the filter intake on the side of the tank. They also like to float up on the bubbles from my bubble curtain thing and then swim back to the bottom and redo it. they mainly hang out on the sand side of the tank but will borrow in both sand and crushed coral. and both costantly swimm everywhere and are rarely on the bottom of the tank.
The betta seems to like to swim into the filter out valve thing and then let the currant push him..... he goes limp then redoes this over and over... he has also taken to eating off the bottom of the tank. and hiding in one of the shells.
The pleco well honestly i dont know where he hangs out hes an inch big in 100 gallons. I do see him once in awhile but he doesnt really need to go far for food or anyhing so I think he hangs out on the drift wood although he too plays in the bubbles occasionally.
my biggest question is has anyone ever seen a weather loach habg out on the suction cup near the top of the tank?
