55 Gallon Community Tank Stocking?
Can I have;
10 Neon Tetras
10 Guppies
10 Black/White Mollies
5 Cherry Shrimp

The tank is now fully cycled and has been monitored for a couple of months now. I just need to know if the tank is overstocked or not. From what I have heard, this should be ok, but I need a second opinion.

If this is too much, suggest what I should have in the tank.

That seems ok. Except the mollies produce LOTS of fry, so in about a month you could be overcrowded. Same with guppies. Mollies also do best in brackish water, some even thrive on reefs.

What I would do is
10 neon tetra
6 guppies
5 cherry shrimp
6 bleeding heart tetra
6 Corydora
And if you decide against shrimp you could add a pair of german ram.
Hope I helped. If you need more assistance go to ***********.com
That is a stocking tool.

I agree for the most part, you could decide to do a bit more shrimp as they have low bio load and prefer to have larger numbers for better breeding in the colony, as well you should look into certain mosses for them.

Guppies being live-bearers they may overrun your tank in a few months, so you could either look into all males or certain fish that will eat the babies without eating other fish.

Lastly xxxxxxxxx.com doesnt take into account territorial needs and many other aspects needed to stock a tank, they mostly go off the maximum length of a fish so the 1" per gallon type of thing which is very flawed for many fish.

if you have place for the fry i think you are good to go

I think you should have only one species of tetra in your tank instead of many.

Like a group of cardinals about 20 of them plus a centerpiece fish like discus perhaps or some apistos and a clown plec?
