55 Gallon Fishless Cycle

I'm getting ready to start a fishless cycle on a 55 gallon tank and I can't find pure ammonia anywhere. Assuming I don't find any in the next day or two, how much fish food should I add every day through the cycle and should I wait till the big water change at the end to vacuum it all out of the gravel? Or is there another, better way altogether? Thanks!

Where are you located? If your in the UK, have you tried boots, wilkinsons etc?

You can buy it online, im assuming you've tried all large stores that sell cleaning surplies? (Wal mart etc)

Did you try the cleaning aisles of grocery stores, or Target, KMart or Wal-Mart type places?
