55 Gallon Cichlid Tank- - -- - - - -- - - - --

i have 55 gallon cichlid tank with


1x green terror
1xfemale convict
1x random fish that i confused with a convic( personallty like a GT but kinda smaller)
1xpleco

i want to add some fish- what could go in this tank?

Maybe a Jack Dempsey, Firemouth or a Parrot Cichlid? I think a Festivum should be fine also.


BTW Is that a Common Pleco? If so, I would recommend re-homing him, they can get big.

Someone correct me if i'm wrong though.


You may want to check the South/Central American Cichlid forum, just to be sure. IMO you are pretty well stocked at the moment.

that GT is going to want a 55 pretty much to itself, i think you should leave the stocking as it is (and get a id on the ? fish, do you have a pic)

And please dont add a Festivum, it would get torn to pieces!!

i cant get a pic of the fish right now

but it looks like male convict but instead of white he is brown

Yeah that GTs may want a bigger home sooner than later. Common Plec... if small, will take years and years to out grow the tank.
