55 Gal Questions/issues

So I have a 55 gal. I have about twenty or so small fish in there. Mostly corys, tetras, danios etc. I had some guppies but the other fish pretty much tore their fins off and killed them. I have a dwarf gaurami who is being treated the same way. Is it possible I will have to go with only fast, nippy fish? Also how many small fish like this can a 55 support? I have two 350 gph filters so it is filtered well. Thanks.

What are the "other fish" it sounds like you could have something pretty aggressive in there with the ones you listed?
Danio can be a bit nippy, but not to the extent that you describe.
Is it definitely fin nipping and not some kind of infection - e.g. fin rot - thats the problem?

I have a few different kinds of tetras, zebra danios, two corys, and thats about it.

Danios will be less nippy with more of them. Since there are only 2 of them, it highly likely that they're the culprits goin around nippin everyone.

I have four of the zebras, not two. No signs of fin rot in all the other fish. The gaurami died today. Just started to sit on the bottom with his fins a bit shredded and what looked like "bruises" on his sides.

well tetras are known to nip but not to the extent of killing other fish i didnt think.
