okay well im getting 47 gal tank and i wanted some advise on how to set it up what fish aany idead welcome :D bare in mind that i would like a lobster in ther :D a small 1 that is the tank is 4.5ft long

I'm not really sure if it's feasible to keep a lobster but I guess you could. I do know though, just like crayfish, they will snatch up any fish swiming by or any sleeping fish that happen to be floating near so I would not recomend any fish with the lobster as they will just be a snack one day for the oportunistic eater.

As for suggesting stocking, you have to be atleast helpful in saying what kind of fish you would like to keep. There are far too many ways to go that it's almost impossible to sit here and type all of them out. Do some research and then re-post asking if maybe the fish would work together or if you know you want, say cichlids, or livebearers, then we can give you an answer to your stocking question.

oklay here is an idea of what i would like

2 dwarf gourmies

4 Aurora Cichlid

2 common plecs (from my other tank)

1 Red Tail Black Shark

4 neon blue guppies

2 Orange Tiger guppy

over all imwork it out to be roughly 36" in length alltogether lemm know what u think feel free to swap and alter take away but ther my guide lines :)

I wouldn;t STRONGLY suggust it, but would'nt a lobster work with anything staying permanetly topside like a butterfly fish?

2 common plec's are 36" in themselves....... and actually more lie 48" at full size....so, have a second home for the plecs when they get too big. I don't know much abotu guppies, but being a small fish I would assume that they school...so prob want atleast 6 of each type. And I don't know how the gourami's and shark would get along, I think both can be a little testy if someone else is trying to rule the tank.

Anyone else, please shut down everything I have said cept for the part bout the plecs, as I'm not 100% positive about most of it.

That might be ok, depends how big the lobster is and how shallow the tank is. But could be a cool looking tank :D

i was lied to by my LFS when i got them i was tol they would get to 5" max  then i found out they grow alot bigger so when they start getting big ill sell them on or give them away
