I just recently got a 45G tall tank

36x14x24 inches

I think that is right. Anyways I am completely open to options with this tank. I have been going over some options and I think i would either want a planted tank, or small reef tank. The problem is the size. It is 2 feet tall and kinda hard to get all the light to the bottom of the tank effectively. I would need a nice lamp setup but I am not sure about that either.

So either planted freshwater or small reef is what I was looking into. Any ideas? I am kinda looking into some interesting fish and not so much the normal. So oddballs i guess :p.

Hey,

I think a a school of 20 Cardinal Tetras, 10 Cories (I like Corydoras trilineatus), and a pair of Rams.

I know none of these fish are oddballs, but I think this combo would look really nice.

Cory Crazy

Ropefish, Peacock Eels, Dragon Fish , Snowflake eels -freshwater one

The rams look very beautiful. Looking at those, a few oto's, a few cory cats, maybe a Queen Arabesque Pleco, and some nice colorful schooling fish.
