Ok so I'm sitting here dreaming again, and I've totally fallen in love with this little fella Corydoras Trilineatus he's different!

First question is how many should there be in a tank for them to feel safe and happy? are they loners or happier in groups?

Second question is what other fish go with them ?

Third( ok so i lied bout 2 questions) but which ones are ya'll faves?

Corys prefers groups, they are a shouling fish. I find they like sand, but a smaller gravel or smooth stones works for them as well.

They are friendly critters, they will get on well with any other dosile fish species.

My Corys definitely like being in a group, I have four and more often than not they are all together (well actually one of them goes off on his own occasionally to a different end of the tank...just a bit of a rebel I guess :p ) I do wonder if this is not actually enough and I may get myself a couple more.

I have half sand, half fine pebbles in mine and they seem to like both a lot, although actually if I had to pick one I'd say they spend more time on the pebbles - maybe because little bits of food can fall between them?

As for what other fish, well mine live with Platys, Danios, Silver-Tip Tetras, Neon Tetras and a Bristlenose Catfish and they all get on really well. In fact most of the time the Corys seem completely oblivious to any other fishes existence.

I love my Corys :good:
Hope some of this helps.

Edit - Forgot, there are Kuhli Loaches in there as well, no problems. Oh and the Corys are Sterbai.

Corys' like to be in groups of 6-8 or more. 4 in a group would be the smallest amount.

They go with,

Angelfish Rasboras
Barbs Sharks
Betta (female) Swordtails
Danios Tetras
Minnows
Dicus
Gouramis
Guppies
Loaches
Mollies
Platies
Pleco
Rain Bow fish

I am 90% sure all of these fish go with cory cats. :good: Not all of these fish go together lol! :shout:

Corys do love buddies! Mine kinda crawl all over each other while they are feeding. A great fish with super cute little mannerisms.
