I have a 3-gal tank and a 2.5 gl tank. The 3 gal is a trapezoid shape, the 2.5 gal a rectangle. I have 1m and 1fm betta and a dwarf puffer. I have a heater in each, and a filter to go with the puffer. Right now the bettas are in the 2.5 (with a partition, of course) and the puffer is in the 3 gal. I am thinking of switching them, so the bettas would have a tad more room, since it won't take too much room away from the single puffer.
Any thoughts on this?

if you could get a bigger tank, something like a 5gal, to replace the 2.5, then you could divide the bigger tank and keep the puffer in the 3gal.
then you could use a double ended UGF (air uplift at both ends) for the bettas and by making slight holes in the divider, it would keep the water warm both sides. or you could buy an aqua flo mini and put it in one end. this would keep a deinfate flow of water.
this is the only thing i can really think of for 2 tanks, 1 filter, 2 heaters and 3 fish that cant be kept together :/

Leave it the way it is. Even though the dwarf puffer looks tinier than the bettas, he needs much more swimming room. Besides, dividing a 3 gallon for 2 bettas and a 2.5 gallon for 2 bettas, is really such a small amount of difference anyway.

ye just leave it the way it is, aslong as there healty and look happy.
im sure moving them around will make them a tad stressed so leaving it the way it is would be the best option unless you buy a bigger tank. :)
