I did my 1st tank clean yesterday. As advised i vacuumed the gravel, cleaned my filter sponges in water taken from the tank and changed a 3rd of the tanks water. Today however my water looks to have lots of floating debri in and looks slightly murky. Any suggestions?

Its been set up a month. The guy in the shop told me to clean it out every month. 3rd water change & gravel clean etc. Should it be cleaned more frequent?

The water should be changed more frequent and also gravel vacs a bit more frequent. I recommend the following:
20% Water changed weekly.
Vaccuum the gravel every week/fortnight.

Cheers buddy, i'll start cleaning more frequently. Should my water clear in time.

Yes, also make sure you don't use any cleaners in the tank unless you have to, and if you have to them make sure you REALLY rinse out your tank. You aren't even supposed to spray airfreshner in the same room as a fishtank, image what a cleaning product with lots of acid and chemicals in will do if it's in the water?

yes your water will clear soon, you always get a bit of debris after a clean, after you've cleaned the tank try swishing your net around in it, you'll be able to pick up a fair bit of the debris. If it's not been cleaned for a month then there will probably be a fair bit, once your doing it weekly I expect it'l look much better after each clean :good:
