snail infestation

ARGHHH!!!!!! I have a snail infestation in my 5 gallon tank, which I have a journal for( https://www.fishforums.net/threads/5-gallon-fluval-spec-v.472852/page-4#post-4065182 ). I'm wondering what I should do to cull the population and maybe replace with nerites or another slow reproducing snail...
