    X2 Skunk Loach

I have a 125Ltr tank and it has been overrun with snails for the last few months so i went to my LFS and asked him what would feed on them. He has sold me two Skunk Loach and they have done a fine job indeed of polishing off all the snails. What worries me is that the two loach are making...

    Brown Java Moss

I tied down some java moss to a rock about 3 months ago. Since then it has grown slightly but it is not sticking to the rock at all and it is brown in colour compared to everything else in the tank which is green and flourishing. At first i thought it was algea but i have ruled that out now...

What Happened To The 'member's Aquarium And Fish Pictures'

There are over 16k threads but only 3 pages available to see. The thing is i saw a couple of tanks from around 6 months ago that i really want to study again. Is there any way to see those threads or have they been deleted?

Dwarf Gourami Making A Bubble Nest

Pictures of 'him/her' are in the thread before. Just told my missus that her little girlie fish might be a male afterall :D http://www.fishforums.net/index.php?/topic/344107-dwarf-gourami-sexing-please/page__p__2864369&#entry2864369

Dwarf Gourami Making A Bubble Nest

She (i believe it to be female), has been in the tank with only neons for about two months now. Tonight she has started making a bubble nest. She seems perfectly happy but with no male in the tank what will happen to the eggs when she lays them? I don't want a nest full of festering eggs in a...

Looking For Something To Eat My Algea

I already have a tiny little Calico BN Pleco but he/she doesn't seem at all interested in algae. On that front i am looking for a fish that will feed on my algae. The last time i had a tropical tank (10-12 years ago), we had a loach that kept everything clean (not to mention being the alpha fish...

A Video Tale Of The Giant Gourami, Piglet

What a great story and what a great new home!. Piglet is gonna be happy in there for a long time to come. I just asked my missus if we could have a tank like that. Just as soon as hell freezes over....I'm waiting

    Fish Gasping

The most important thing with PH is to keep it steady. Any rapid change in PH is probaby going to finish off your fish. If you are adding something to bring your PH down to 7.0 your PH is going to be moving all over the place and your fish will be under severe stress. I would (bare in mind i...

    Fish Gasping

Sounds to me like you need a large water change asap (read below first). You didn't mention your ammonia and nitrate levels in your post. The peeps on here will need all readings to be of any use tbh. Changing PH levels quickly is going to place a massive amount of stress on your fish. If you...

    Blue Dragon Goby

http://aqualandpetsplus.com/Oddball%20Dragon%20Goby.htm That seems to have some nice info on it but from a quick look through it seems your fish is just a shy eater when on it's own. Maybe he needs a few tank mates to bring him out of his shell :)

    Newbie Camera?

What exactly is it you want from your new camera?. As ask because most DSLR's come with a standard lens (mainly 80mm). To get a full range of zoom options you will be looking at spending quite a bit of money on different lenses. If you aren't 100% sure you would take to a DSLR you might be...

    6X2X2 Stand Idea

Deffo go for marine ply. MDF is no where near adequate for anything that is going near water. As for the stand. It all depends on the jointing system. I am a joiner by trade. If the sections are simply screwed together then it will be no where near strong enough to support a ton of water and...

    What's Your Feeding Schedule?

I feed mine whatever they can eat in 30-60 seconds. Anything else is over feeding unless it is a fish feeding off a tablet. Then i will leave it for up to an hour. That is just what i do :)

    "hiding" Platy

As i see it, some fish will always be loners. I have a shoal of blood fin tetras but one of them refuses to shoal. It just sits quite happily in a corner and does it's own thing. Your Platy has probably set his stall out where he is atm and is perfectly happy doing his own thing :)

The Uncatchables! I Finally Caught Them!

Sorry RK but it made me giggle when i saw the pictures. I could imagine the Benny Hill scene inside the tank  . I don't know why it made me giggle though. I've got a BN pleco in my tank now and i'm thinking about changing from marine coral to black substrate. That should be fun

    Help Me!

Whilever your ammonia is at .25ppm and your Nitrite so high you need to be doing large water changes avery day. If they go over .25ppm your fish will suffer. I would suggest doing water changes of at least 50% every day until things sort themselve's out. However. I am not brilliant on this...

    Crisis Averted...

My tiny little BN pleco (about 30mm long), isn't seen very often. The missus worries s/he is dead every day but then i'll see it's tail move out of the corner of my eye. The last time i saw him was earlier today when i gave the fish some Daphnia. After a few mins he was hoovering up the sand...
