Can be used on either. You ask some funny questions

My questions are both irrelevant and interesting, made my teachers quite annoyed when I raised my hand and asked them something like " if I shot a battery into the clouds would it make lightning?". I remember in a science class my teacher lectured me for 45 mins on why I should not ask ramdom questions after asking that. Lol
